Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

Our objective is to make our services more accessible to those in need of high-quality mental health care. We aim to serve not only individuals in rural areas but patients across all regions who prefer the privacy, security, and convenience of a telehealth consultation.

• Provide effective individual psychiatric care via telehealth in an outpatient setting.
• Provide direct patient care, conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and prescribe medications as clinically appropriate.
• Ensure all patient care is delivered in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical guidelines.
• We are not affiliated with any hospitals or clinics, allowing clinicians the autonomy to practice in the best interest of their patients without unnecessary corporate administrative interference.
• Work within collaborative clinical teams consisting of multiple therapists and a psychiatric prescriber. During onboarding, you will have the opportunity to connect with eligible psychotherapists seeking a prescriber to join their team, with team matching facilitated by BlueSky.
• Participate in regular staffing with collaborating therapists, at least monthly, to discuss patient cases, treatment coordination, and clinical topics.
• Provide clinical services remotely from your home. Days and hours are flexible and determined by the clinician, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Participate in virtual clinical team meetings.
• Attend BlueSky's clinical conferences, which are held four times per week. Attendance is required at least once per week during the first 90 days of employment and once per month thereafter.

• Must hold an active, unrestricted PMHNP license in at least one of the states we serve: AZ, CO, IA, IL, MA, MD, MN, MS, NC, OH, TN, TX, or WA.
• Must be willing to obtain additional state licenses as needed to support patient access and BlueSky's growing service areas.
• Prior experience working as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is preferred but not required.
• Must not own or operate a private practice.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of healthcare professionals.
• Strong clinical background in psychiatry and behavioral health.
• Strong knowledge and experience in the assessment and diagnosis of psychiatric disorders and psychopharmacological treatment.
• Familiarity with non-pharmacological and evidence-based behavioral health interventions.
• Strong computer skills and comfort using EHRs, telehealth platforms, and other basic technology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to provide patient-centered, evidence-based, and collaborative psychiatric care in a telehealth environment.
