- Dr. Trent Westover, DMD: Raised in Southern California, Dr. Westover served a two-year church mission in Peru (and speaks fluent Spanish!). He graduated with honors from OHSU School of Dentistry in 1993 and joined Gresham Dental Group shortly after. Passionate about restorative dentistry and patient-centered care, he puts every patient at ease with his relaxed, friendly approach. Outside the office, he loves outdoor adventures—biking, boating, and hiking in the Pacific Northwest with his wife Sheryl, his children, and his grandchildren!
- Dr. Yelisey ("Eli") Gurzhuy, DMD: Dr. Eli moved to Portland from Ukraine in 2000, graduated from Centennial High School and Portland State University, and earned his dental degree from OHSU. Deeply committed to serving others, he invests heavily in continuing education to offer the highest quality care. Outside of dentistry and serving in his church, he loves spending quality time with his wife, Alina, and their two young sons, Asher and Ezekiel!
- Dr. Miles Brown, DMD: Raised in Sandy, Oregon, Dr. Brown served a two-year church mission in North Carolina before attending Warner Pacific University on a basketball scholarship. After earning his dental degree from OHSU, he brought his passion for patient-centered service to our clinical family. When he’s not helping patients smile, you’ll find him playing basketball and enjoying time with his wife, Brynn, and their three children, Sage, Elias, and Liam!
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Patient Hospitality & Check-In: Welcome every patient with warmth, gather accurate intake information, and set positive expectations for their appointment.
- →Call Management & Scheduling: Handle multi-line phone inquiries with ease, confirm upcoming visits, and schedule appointments for existing and new patients.
- →Financial & Account Support: Answer basic account balance inquiries, accept patient co-pays, and accurately post payments to patient accounts.
- →Team Synergy & Communication: Communicate patient arrivals to clinical staff, participate in morning huddles, and keep the daily practice schedule running smoothly.
- →Records & Compliance: Securely update patient files in the practice management software while maintaining strict HIPAA, OSHA, and privacy compliance.
Requirements
~1 min read- Experience: 1–3 years of customer service experience (retail, hospitality, medical, or office backgrounds are welcome—zero dental experience needed, we will train you!).
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a natural ability to connect with patients and teammates.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy (email, software data entry) and hands-on experience handling multi-line telephone systems.
- Mindset: A self-motivated team player with strong attention to detail, time management skills, an eagerness to learn, and a positive, "can-do" attitude.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Safety & Compliance: This position is safety-sensitive; successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen (inclusive of THC testing) is required. We strictly adhere to CDC, OSHA, and ADA safety standards.
