BRIEF DESCRIPTION The Azure Integration Developer designs, builds, deploys, and supports cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.

Technical Tools
Software EngineeringIntegration Developer

The Azure Integration Developer designs, builds, deploys, and supports cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. This is a hands-on engineering role -- you will be writing code and configuring Azure resources every day -- working across the Azure integration and application stack -- Logic Apps, Azure Functions, API Management, Event Grid, and Service Bus -- with all infrastructure defined in Terraform and delivered through automated pipelines.

You will take work from design through to production and stay with it afterwards: writing the workflows and the C# behind them, defining the Azure resources that host them, building the telemetry that shows whether they are healthy, and diagnosing them when they are not. You will be part of the integration team, working within an established architecture and set of standards.

Responsibilities

~2 min read
  • → Develop and maintain integration workflows in Azure Logic Apps, including stateful orchestrations, connectors, and error-handling paths.
  • → Write and maintain C# / .NET code running as Azure Functions or in-process alongside Logic Apps to handle data transformation, request construction, and response parsing.
  • → Configure Azure API Management including APIs, operations, policies, named values, subscriptions, and backend routing, and build event-driven solutions on Event Grid and Service Bus.
  • → Consume and build both REST and SOAP APIs, working with OAuth 2.0, bearer-token, and API-key authentication.
  • → Design and maintain database objects in Azure SQL such as queries, stored procedures, triggers, and views, and use Azure Storage for persistence, staging, and queueing.
  • → Define Azure infrastructure as code in Terraform and deliver it through automated CI/CD pipelines.
  • → Instrument solutions with Application Insights and write the queries and alert rules that make a failure visible before a user reports it.
  • → Track real-time transactions and implement retry and backoff, idempotent processing, and safe handling of duplicate or out-of-order messages.
  • → Work with the integration team and business stakeholders to turn requirements into technical designs, raising concerns with a design before building it, and explaining technical trade-offs to non-technical audiences.
  • → Document what you build and keep it current as the code changes.
  • → Work effectively with distributed teammates across time zones.
  • → Adheres to all company Best Practices.

Requirements

~2 min read
  • 5+ years of software development experience mainly on industry standard integration tools, with at least 2+ years focused specifically on Microsoft Azure integration.
  • Hands-on experience across Azure integration services including Logic Apps, Azure Functions, API Management, Event Grid, and Service Bus.
  • Proficiency in C# / .NET, comfortable writing and unit-testing production code, not only scripting.
  • Mid-level database expertise writing and tuning SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and views, with a solid understanding of transactions, concurrency, and data integrity.
  • Azure infrastructure and security knowledge covering subscriptions and accounts, resource groups, roles and role-based access control, Key Vault, managed identities, Entra ID, and least-privilege access.
  • Deployment experience using Terraform or an equivalent infrastructure-as-code tool and CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
  • Source control experience with Git including branching, pull-request review, and merge discipline within a team.
  • Monitoring and diagnostics using Application Insights and Log Analytics.
  • Strong grasp of error handling, retry strategy, and idempotency in distributed systems, and an instinct for what happens when a message arrives twice or out of order.
  • Able to debug a problem you did not create, in a system you did not build, using logs and data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain a technical concept clearly to someone who does not share your background.
  • Self-directed within a defined architecture, able to own work end to end, while knowing when to stop and ask rather than assume.
  • Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-204) preferred.
  • Salesforce experience such as platform familiarity, the REST API, SOQL, or integrating Salesforce with other systems is a plus.
  • Financial systems know-how is a plus, including a working understanding of invoices, receivables, payments, and the general ledger, and the care that financial data demands.
  • Experience with AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude, Gemini CLI, or Cursor is a plus.
  • Azure Durable Functions, ETL and data-pipeline work, containers, or PowerShell and Azure CLI automation are a plus.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field -- or equivalent practical experience.
