Fine Arts Stage Crew (Student)
Quick Summary
SUMMARY: Stage Crew assists in the movement, setup, and construction of Stage Equipment and sets for use in programs, ceremonies, and concerts around campus. Work activities may include but are not limited to: Must (regularly) lift/carry and/or push/pull up to 100 lbs.
Support the University's plays, operas, concerts, and special events as a member of the Stage Crew. The Stage Crew works in Rodeheaver Auditorium, FMA, War Memorial Chapel, and Stratton Hall.
Responsibilities include:
- Building and painting set pieces
- Moving equipment, sets, and furniture
- Operating power tools
- Working with props, curtains, and computer equipment
- Setting lights
- Working backstage during productions
- Helping with event setup and strike
This is a hands-on position that offers experience in many different areas including construction, live event, and theatrical production. Experience is appreciated but not required. Training is provided. Must be reliable and able to lift up to 75 pounds.
