Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Installs new units or replacement parts for existing units according to specifications and established safety guidelines
- →Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- →Performs a variety of complicated tasks
- →May lead and direct the work of others
- →Typically reports to a supervisor or manager
- Generally required knowledge includes HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques
- Effective interpersonal skills to properly represent BJU in an ethical and professional manner
- Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people
- Leadership skills to support the activities of Mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical Building Automation equipment on a job site
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
- Professional in appearance and presentation
- Effective in oral and written communication
- PC experience required and the ability to program HVAC related software
- Freon certification
- C.E. in HVAC
Requirements
~1 min read- Drive a motorized vehicle
- Work around machines
- Work above floor level
- Exposed to dust, fumes, gases
- Exposed to marked changes in temperature
- Work outdoors in varying weather
- Repetitive foot movement to operate foot controls
- Repetitive hand movements (fine grasp, fine manipulation, grasp and pull)
- Frequent head and neck rotations
