Experienced Automotive Technician/Mechanic

This role exists for a technician who already knows the craft and wants a shop that respects it. As an Experienced Automotive Technician at Bob’s Main Street Auto & Towing, you’ll be trusted to diagnose and repair vehicles accurately, use your judgment, and help protect customers through honest, high-quality work. We’re not a flat-rate, high-pressure environment — we value experience, consistency, and doing the job right the first time.

Your day is focused on thorough diagnostics, quality repairs, and clear documentation. You’ll perform digital inspections, collaborate with service advisors, and apply your experience to help prioritize what truly matters for the customer. You won’t be rushed, oversold, or second-guessed — just given the time and support to work professionally in a shop that values accuracy, cleanliness, and respect.

• Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs across a wide range of vehicles

• Confidently handle brakes, suspension, tires, scheduled maintenance, engines, transmissions, and complex repair work

• Use company-provided diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and software to accurately diagnose and service vehicles

  • (Autel and Snap-On equipment provided)

• Complete thorough digital vehicle inspections on a company-provided iPad at every visit

• Communicate clearly with Service Advisors to support accurate estimates and repair recommendations

• Work within TekMetric to document findings and recommendations

• Support and lead less-experienced technicians by setting a strong example

• Work collaboratively in a team-driven environment

• Follow all safety procedures and properly use company-provided safety equipment

• Maintain a clean, professional, and safe work area

• Adapt to change with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
