Associate Test & Evaluation Engineer (Test Instrumentation)

The Boeing Company is looking for an Associate Test & Evaluation Engineer (Test Instrumentation) to join our team in Patuxent River, MD – the position is located at the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.

The successful candidate will work as part of the test team consisting of engineers and technicians supporting flight test instrumentation activities on the V-22 Flight Test program. Note – occasional short-term travel is possible supporting offsites at remote locations or aboard navy ships.

Our team is looking for an associate level Instrumentation Engineer with experience working with aircraft instrumentation systems.

Responsibilities

→Develops simple test procedures, and instrumentation and configuration definition needed to perform the test and minimize risk
→Designs component and sub-assembly level hardware or software and uses analytical tools to verify the design
→Assists in the coordinating and manufacture and assembly of test hardware
→Reviews test data for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity prior to delivery to customer
→Alerts senior engineers of off-nominal data
→Works with technicians to facilitate engineering requirements
→Troubleshooting Instrumentation systems onboard A/C as required
→Coordinates with engineering teams to meet test requirements

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
Experience working within test instrumentation and/or methods

Experience with Instrumentation Data or Test Recording Systems
Experience with Analog/Digital Signal Processing
Experience in the production of Electrical Schematics
Experience troubleshooting data system/sensor anomalies
Experience utilizing analysis tools
Experience with AUTOCAD , familiarity with TTCWare
