Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Must successfully complete the new hire foundational training to obtain and maintain all required certifications.

Proficient use of a computer in a dynamic production environment.

Lifting and carrying up to 10-35 pounds.

Climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting).

Flexion/Extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching (overhead), rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist and walking.

Prepares exterior surface of aircraft for painting.

Makes necessary patterns, performs layout and applies prescribed primers, paints and finishes to exterior of aircraft.

Applies aircraft finishes and external markings to aircraft sections.
Requirements
~1 min readBe a student or recent graduate of a Boeing Pre-Employment Training (BPET) academic course that is certified for the BPET Aircraft Painter role. Applicants must have a valid BPET Endorsement Form.
Must have the ability to work variable shifts (first, second, or third) based on business needs.
Must be able to walk constantly throughout the workday; stand 6-8 hours per day; climb or work from stairs/steps up to 8 hours per day; climb ladders; bend and twist frequently up to six hours per day; squat and kneel.
Must be able to lift/carry up to 35 pounds; push/pull using up to 45 pounds of force; and reach overhead up to six hours per day.
Experience painting in aircraft, automotive, industrial, or general painting environments.
Must be able to wear fall protection gear, safety equipment and masks.
Must be able to work with High Hazard Chemicals

This position is for a variable shift (shift 4). Variable shift means you will be placed on a shift at the time of hire based on business needs at that time. You will remain on that shift until re-evaluation is needed.

Summary pay range: $48,000 - $49,000
