This is an hourly union-represented position governed by the Cabinet Makers, Millmen and Industrial Carpenters Union (CMM&IC Local 721).
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Electro-Mechanical assembly of PCB assemblies into product chassis
- →Assemble Electro-Mechanical assemblies by interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings and specifications, and written assembly, and standard operating procedures
- →Use precision calibrated tools – torque wrenches, micrometers and calipers
- →Perform visually inspect of Electro-Mechanical assemblies to drawings, engineering specifications, and written assembly, integration and test procedures
- →Ensure product quality and conformance to specifications
- →Document non-conformances and associated rework/repair
- →Soldering and reworking of through-hole and SMT components
- →Support conformal coat, masking, epoxy application and coating
This position is primarily 2nd shift; however, there may be additional shift requirements to support program objectives. Candidates must be able to work any shift assigned.
Shift 2 (United States of America)- This is an hourly union-represented position governed by the Cabinet Makers, Millmen and Industrial Carpenters Union (CMM&IC Local 721).
- New hires and employees transferring from non-union roles may be required to attend or complete training within their 90-day probationary period. Continued employment is contingent on successfully completing the probationary period.
Requirements
~1 min read- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
- More than 3 years of experience in electronics, electro-mechanical and printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies
- More than 3 years of experience in Electro-Mechanical assembly on high reliability products
- More than 3 years of experience working with ESD, IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 standards
- More than 3 years of experience with soldering
- More than 3 years of experience reading blueprints, working with manufacturing plans, and reviewing instructions for aerospace manufacturing processes
- Capable of lifting 20lbs or more on a frequent basis
- Ability to stand and move (reach, bend, or stoop) to handle products for extended periods of time with only short breaks
- More than 5 years of experience building a variety of component-level space products (e.g. avionics boxes, batteries, mechanisms, optics, printed circuit board assemblies, solar arrays, etc.)
- More than 3 years of experience using structures hand tools, test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers
- More than 3 years of experience working in a Clean Room environment
- More than 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment
- Currently hold a IPC J-STD-001 and/or IPC-A-610 certification
- More than 3 years of experience using basic Microsoft Office and office computing systems

Summary Pay Range: $29.42 - $47.09
