In this role, you will conduct Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) on aerospace products using cutting edge methods including Radiography and/or Ultrasonic testing. You will work with digital and automated inspection systems in an aerospace environment aligned with industry standards and regulations. This position requires the applicant to work in a radiation environment and involves exposure to radiation. Candidates must demonstrate a strong understanding of relevant safety and health regulations, protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe working atmosphere for self and others. [include if hiring for RT]
Safety training and equipment are provided by Boeing in accordance with applicable laws, industry standards, and company policies.
Will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) applicable to the testing method being used.
Able and willing to stand 90% of the time, stoop, bend, stretch, and engage in awkward positioning.
Able to lift up to 35 lbs.
High school diploma or equivalent
Formal, documented hours of NDT training/experience or military equivalent in RT NDT testing
3+ years of experience in Nondestructive Testing
Experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
Level II NDT certification equivalent to ASNT / NAS410 standards in RT
Additional NDT certification in UT
Experience conducting NDT certification preparation training, providing necessary guidance to Trainees and Level I NDT certified personnel
This is an hourly position governed by the UAW Collective Bargaining agreement.
