IT Systems Engineer - Millennium Space Systems

• →Install and configure operating systems, software, and hardware components, and clearly document the design, maintenance, and support procedures for routine tasks to leverage IT support staff
• →Use expert-level configuration, administration and optimization of hosts and servers to ensure high availability of infrastructure and systems
• →Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
• →Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system engineering tasks
• →Work with EGSE REAs and CAMs to develop schedules, labor profiles, and costing information
• →Lead the transition to a more DevSecOps approach to deploying and maintaining software, VMs, libraries, configuration, and administration of our ground support equipment computing infrastructure
  • →Work with the EGSE and SW engineers to capture computing requirements, generate deployment schedules, etc.

• Linux and Windows architect experience

• VMWare vSphere and ESXi configuration and administration

• Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)
• Internet Protocol Version 4 (IPv4)
• Internet Information Services (IIS)

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 4 years of IT system engineering experience
• Current CompTia Security+ Certification
• This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. A final U.S. clearance Post Start is required

• Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate
• VMware Certified Professional or VMware Certified Advanced Professional
