Military Derivatives Production Pilot (Experienced or Senior)

Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) is seeking an Military Derivatives Production Pilot to join our team in Seattle, WA at Boeing Field

This position will work in the Military Transport division of Boeing Flight Operations. This division develops and flight tests military derivatives of various Boeing commercial aircraft for use by both the US military branches as well as foreign militaries around the world. 

This roles’ primary responsibility will be to plan and conduct KC-46 and P-8 production and acceptance test flights, as well as lead the production acceptance process. Candidate will identify and document flight deficiencies and assist in coordinating deficiency resolution. Additional duties include developing plans, coordinating and facilitating aircraft delivery, ferry, support and functional test flights on production and non-production aircraft.

• →Demonstrates or leads production acceptance process
• →Identifies and documents flight deficiencies and coordinates resolution
• →Plans, coordinates and conducts delivery, ferry, support and functional test flights on production and non-production aircraft
• →Serves as Pilot-In-Command

• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
• Tracked as a Pilot-in-Command, Instructor Pilot or Maintenance Test Pilot

• Commercial Certificate or FAA ATP with appropriate endorsements

• Current FAA Class II medical certificate or the ability to obtain one
• Large Aircraft experience (e.g. C-17, P-8, KC-46)

• Level 4: 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Current and qualified as KC-46 or P-8 Pilot in Command
• Qualified as KC-46 or P-8 instructor and/or functional check flight pilot
• Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
• Type ratings in Boeing commercial model aircraft desired
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering field
• Aviation safety officer
• Experience with ground and flight test procedure

Successful candidate for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.

Travel is required for this position and varies from 5-20% of the time depending on specific program activity.
