We believe an athletic director's job is one of the most critical in a community: to shape the lives and experiences of student-athletes. But as we listened, we learned that with dwindling budgets and growing responsibilities, they’ve had no choice but to spend more time managing logistics than leading their teams and programs. After countless conversations, we gained a deep understanding of their challenges, from handling transactions to managing schedules and tracking results.

This insight was the catalyst for Bound. We created an all-in-one platform to give ADs back their time. With our OneSchedule Technology at its core, our platform integrates essential tools like Activity Registration, Tickets and Passes, and 20+ additional solutions. Today, Bound empowers schools across the country to manage every aspect of their athletics and activities, all within a single, unified solution.

We're not just a software company; we are a team made up of former athletic directors, administrators, coaches, parents, and fans. We all share one core belief: in the power of youth sports and activities to positively impact communities and the people who live in them.

At Bound, internships are a structured experience designed to give you real ownership, real mentorship, and a real project to point to when you're done.

  • A Capstone Project — You will own a meaningful project from day one through the final presentation, giving you something substantial to show for your summer.
  • Real Team Experience — Beyond your project, you will be embedded in your team's day-to-day work, gaining hands-on exposure to how Bound operates.
  • Mentorship & Support — regular 1:1s with your supervisor and a buddy to help you navigate your summer.
  • Connection — Intern events and opportunities to connect with the broader Bound team.
  • Program dates — Summer 2027 internships run May 17 – August 6, 2027 (approximately 12 weeks).

About the Role

~1 min read

The Customer Experience Intern (General) will support the CX team's operational backbone — the processes, documentation, and knowledge resources that keep the department running smoothly but rarely get dedicated attention because every team member is focused on their own day-to-day responsibilities. This role exists to give CX operations the focused attention it needs: mapping how things currently work, spotting where gaps or inconsistencies slow the team down and building the knowledge base articles, training materials and process documentation to close those gaps. In doing so, this intern directly supports Bound's mission of giving time back to the people we serve — starting with our own team. Success in this role looks like a CX department that has clearer, better-documented processes and a growing library of training and reference materials than when the internship began.

Responsibilities

~1 min read
  • →Document existing CX processes and workflows to create a clear, current record of how the team operates
  • →Identify gaps, inconsistencies or inefficiencies in current CX processes
  • →Create knowledge base articles to fill identified documentation gaps
  • →Develop training materials and onboarding resources for the CX team
  • →Recommend improvements to existing workflows and processes
  • →Partner with CX team members to validate documented processes for accuracy
  • →Organize and maintain the CX knowledge base so materials stay easy to find and up to date
  • →Support rollout of new or updated processes by helping communicate changes to the team

Requirements

~1 min read
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to explain a process clearly and simply
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to follow a process closely enough to document it accurately
  • Ability to organize and structure information logically for someone else to follow
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work independently on assigned projects
  • Comfortable asking questions and gathering information from multiple team members to understand a process fully
  • Comfortable working with common productivity, documentation, and spreadsheet tools (e.g., Google Workspace or Microsoft Office); familiarity with a wiki or knowledge base platform (e.g., Confluence, Notion, Slite) is a plus
  • Experience in a customer-facing role, such as customer support, retail, hospitality, or another customer-facing position
  • Familiarity with school systems, sports scheduling, or education-related data and administration
  • Interest in process improvement, operations, or instructional/training content design
  • A self-starter who's comfortable with ambiguity and doesn't need a fully mapped-out task list to make progress
  • Naturally curious, asking "why do we do it this way?" rather than just accepting a process as-is
  • Organized and methodical, with a genuine enjoyment of bringing order to something messy
  • A clear, patient communicator who can translate what they learn into something someone else can follow
  • Embodies Bound's "We Figure It Out" value — doesn't get stuck when something's unclear, works through it
