We are now building a flexible pool of reliable, hands-on event staff who can support the delivery of Boxbar units and bars at live events across the UK.
About the Role
~1 min readWe are looking for confident, practical and dependable people to support Boxbar at events across the North West, Midlands and London.
As an Event Bar Operations Lead, you will help manage Boxbar units and bar areas during live events. You will support with set-up, operation, venue staff training, customer interaction, basic troubleshooting, cleanliness, breakdown and post-event feedback.
This is a hands-on role in live event environments, so you will need to be calm under pressure, comfortable dealing with people and happy working evenings, weekends and busy event days.
Full training will be provided at our HQ in Wakefield and out in the field, so you do not need to know our technology from day one. What matters most is that you are reliable, professional, practical and willing to learn.
Responsibilities

- →Supporting the set-up and operation of Boxbar units and bar areas at live events.
- →Helping ensure our units are ready, clean, stocked and operating to the required standard.
- →Supporting venue teams and event staff with how to use the Boxbar technology.
- →Acting as a professional Boxbar representative on site.
- →Helping troubleshoot basic operational or technical issues during events.
- →Keeping Boxbar areas clean, tidy and well presented throughout the event.
- →Supporting customer service where required.
- →Assisting with breakdown, clean-down, loading and unloading post-event.
- →Communicating clearly with Boxbar management before, during and after events.
- →Completing simple post-event feedback or event reports.
- →Escalating any issues quickly and professionally.
- →Following Boxbar processes, health and safety expectations and site rules.
We are looking for people who are:
- Reliable, punctual and dependable.
- Confident working in busy live event environments.
- Comfortable speaking with clients, venue teams, bar staff and customers.
- Practical, hands-on and happy to get stuck in.
- Calm under pressure and able to solve problems quickly.
- Positive, professional and team-focused.
- Flexible around evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
- Comfortable travelling to event sites in your region.
- Interested in events, hospitality, sport, music, venues or technology.
- Able to represent Boxbar to a high standard.
Experience in any of the following would be helpful:
- Events, festivals, stadiums, arenas or live venues.
- Bar work, hospitality, catering or beverage service.
- Event supervision or team leading.
- Brand ambassador or promotional work.
- Cellar, draught dispense or drinks systems.
- Field operations, installations or basic technical support.
- Customer service in fast-paced environments.
You do not need to tick every box. If you are reliable, practical, people-focused and keen to learn, we would still like to hear from you.
The role pays £15 per hour.
Approved expenses will be covered where required and agreed in advance, in line with Boxbar’s expenses policy.
Full training will be provided. This will include:
- Training at Boxbar’s HQ in Wakefield.
- Field-based training at live events.
- How to set up and operate Boxbar units.
- How to support venue staff.
- Basic troubleshooting.
- Event standards, reporting and escalation processes.
