Licensed MEP Plan Check Engineer

Prepare, review, and stamp engineering plans, specifications, and calculations.
Coordinate MEP design and plan review activities with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and agency departments.
Provide technical guidance and code interpretations to clients, contractors, and staff.
Prepare clear and concise engineering reports, correspondence, and project documentation.
Assist with project management responsibilities, including scheduling, budgets, and client communications.
Ensure all work complies with BPR’s and clients’ policies, procedures, and quality standards.
Provide services in an efficient, proactive, and client-focused manner.
Strong knowledge of MEP design principles, systems integration, building inspection, and construction processes.
Experience in the interpretation and application of California Building, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Energy Codes.
Proficiency with engineering software tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, or similar).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Certification Requirements:
- California Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.
- Additional ICC certifications (e.g., Mechanical Plans Examiner, Electrical Plans Examiner, Plumbing Plans Examiner) preferred but not required.

$45 - $70 an hour (depending on qualifications and experience).
