This is a unique opportunity to sit at the intersection of engineering and digital technology, shaping the next generation of mineral processing solutions while working alongside cross-functional teams across engineering, digital, sales, and manufacturing.

 

About the Role

Reporting to the Engineering Team Lead, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and continuously improving Bradken’s mineral processing products and digital solutions.

You will act as a technical bridge between traditional engineering and digital innovation, embedding smart technologies into our core mill product lines while ensuring designs meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and manufacturability.

This role combines hands-on engineering, customer engagement, and digital integration, with opportunities for site-based work and global collaboration.

 

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop new mineral processing products, while enhancing existing solutions
  • Deliver high-quality 3D modelling, drafting, and engineering analysis
  • Ensure designs meet DFM principles and global quality standards
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and manage engineering changes
  • Translate operational challenges into practical, scalable digital solutions
  • Support implementation and continuous improvement of digital offerings
  • Engage directly with customers to understand requirements and validate solutions
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and support product trials and performance reviews
  • Provide trusted technical expertise from concept through to implementation
  • Partner across engineering, manufacturing, sales, and digital teams to deliver outcomes
  • Act as a key link between disciplines, ensuring solutions are fit-for-purpose and deliverable
  • Share knowledge and build capability across teams
  • Lead by example in promoting a strong safety and quality culture
  • Ensure compliance with HSE and quality standards
  • Drive continuous improvement in design practices, processes, and performance

 

You are a curious and solutions-driven senior engineer who thrives on tackling complex challenges and bridging the gap between physical products and digital innovation.

You bring:

  • A degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related)
  • + 3 years of experience in mining or heavy manufacturing environments
  • Strong capability in CAD (preferably Siemens NX) and engineering design
  • Experience in product design, problem-solving, and technical analysis
  • Knowledge of FEA/DEM tools (e.g., ANSYS)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work across diverse teams
