Our Hamilton branch is seeking a motivated Foreman to support the day-to-day operations of our Service Department and help lead a high-performing team of technicians and apprentices.

About the Role

As Foreperson, you will play a key leadership role within the workshop, supporting technicians and apprentices while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Working closely with the Service Manager, you will help coordinate workshop activities, provide technical guidance, and support the development of your team.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the allocation of jobs and workshop resources
  • Providing technical guidance and assistance to technicians and apprentices
  • Assisting with diagnosing and resolving complex equipment issues
  • Reviewing repair orders for accuracy and completeness
  • Coordinating technician training and skills development
  • Supporting workshop safety initiatives and team performance
  • Maintaining and managing workshop tooling and equipment
  • Assisting with customer concerns and service-related enquiries
  • Acting in a leadership capacity when the Service Manager is absent

  • Trade qualification and at least 3 years' experience as a Service Technician
  • Strong technical and diagnostic abilities
  • Leadership skills and a desire to mentor and develop others
  • Experience working with agricultural, construction, or heavy equipment
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and lead by example
  • Experience with John Deere products is advantageous
  • Forklift licence preferred
