Responsibilities

As an Equipment Mechanic, you will:

  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on heavy equipment and perform effective repairs
  • Complete preventative maintenance and scheduled service to maximize equipment performance
  • Inspect equipment and identify maintenance needs before failures occur
  • Accurately complete work orders, service documentation, and time entries
  • Follow all company safety policies, participate in daily safety meetings, and perform work in a safe, efficient manner
  • Work closely with the Field Support team to ensure equipment is ready for deployment

We're looking for candidates with:

  • Five or more years of heavy equipment maintenance and repair experience preferred
  • Experience working on cranes, drilling equipment, or similar construction equipment preferred
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics
  • Previous OEM, dealership, military, or vocational technical training is a plus
  • Rigging certifications, crane operator certification, or other equipment-related certifications are considered an asset
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL or the ability to obtain one is preferred
  • Basic computer skills for using diagnostic software, reviewing service manuals, completing work orders, and recording labor
  • A dependable, team-oriented mindset with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Must provide and maintain a personal set of mechanic's tools

To successfully perform this role, candidates must be able to:

  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
  • Frequently reach, stretch, and maneuver around equipment during repairs
  • Occasionally squat, kneel, crouch, bend, and twist while servicing machinery
  • Perform repetitive hand and arm movements while operating tools and equipment
  • Work around oils, grease, water, and other materials commonly found in heavy equipment maintenance
  • Perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation

This position is performed in both indoor shop and outdoor work environments. Candidates should be comfortable working around heavy equipment in conditions that may be noisy, dusty, dirty, or exposed to changing weather. Required personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, hearing protection, safety glasses, and respirators when needed, must be worn at all times.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical, vocational, or post-secondary training in heavy equipment, diesel technology, or a related field is preferred
