Stripping Crew Memeber

Brayman Precast is looking for a dependable, hardworking Stripping Crew Member to join our yarding crew. In this hands-on position, you will help remove precast concrete products from their forms and perform the final finishing work needed to prepare products for loading and delivery.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys physical, hands-on work, is comfortable using tools and equipment, and takes pride in producing a quality finished product.

Hours: Morning Shift- Start time 4:00AM

What You'll Do as a Stripping Crew Member :

• Remove curing covers and hardware from precast concrete products.
• Attach required rigging for lifting and safely work around cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment.
• Perform final finishing using hand tools, grinders, and other tools as needed.
• Apply patch slurry to fill voids and bug holes and improve the appearance of finished concrete surfaces.
• Help prepare finished products for loading and delivery.
• Clean and maintain the manufacturing and yard areas.
• Properly dispose of debris and trash and keep tools, equipment, and materials organized.
• Perform general labor duties as needed.
• Assist team members in a variety of production and yard responsibilities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Follow company safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.

What We're Looking For in a Stripping Crew Member :

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred.
• Previous experience with overhead cranes and rigging is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to listen to, understand, and follow directions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work an early morning shift.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed to meet project and contractual deadlines.
• Ability to perform general labor duties.
• Flexible attitude and willingness to work in a variety of roles.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Dependable work ethic and willingness to work in a physically demanding environment.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment for Stripping Crew Member :

This position involves working in concrete production facilities and construction environments, both indoors and outdoors.

The work environment may be dirty, dusty, noisy, and physically demanding. Employees are required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including gloves, hearing protection, and respirators when necessary.

The position requires the ability to:

• Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Stand and walk frequently throughout the work area.
• Frequently lift and carry raw materials.
• Perform repetitive hand and arm movements while operating machinery.
• Occasionally bend, squat, crouch, kneel, twist, and reach.
• Occasionally stretch overhead or across work areas to adjust controls or load materials.
• Work around water and materials that may cause skin irritation.
• Perform the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
