Key Responsibilities

  • Define scalable automation architecture, framework standards, coding conventions, and reusable testing components.

  • Select appropriate tools and patterns for UI, API, mobile, integration, and regression automation.

  • Design automation integration with CI/CD pipelines, test environments, reporting, and release quality gates.

  • Review automation design and code, guide technical decisions, and mentor engineers across distributed teams.

  • Measure automation effectiveness, reduce maintenance overhead, and communicate quality risks and improvement plans.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience Required: typically 8+ years in quality engineering, including substantial experience designing automation frameworks; align with the approved requisition.

  • Expertise with one or more modern automation stacks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or Appium.

  • Strong programming ability in Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript and experience designing reusable frameworks.

  • Experience with API automation, distributed application testing, test data, and non-functional test considerations.

  • Demonstrated experience integrating automated tests into enterprise CI/CD pipelines and release workflows.

  • Knowledge of test architecture patterns, maintainability, parallel execution, reporting, and automation governance.

  • Proven technical leadership, code-review, mentoring, stakeholder communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience working in iterative software delivery teams, participating in planning, defect triage, and release validation as appropriate to the assignment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience defining quality gates and automation strategy for large, multi-team engineering programs.

  • Exposure to cloud test infrastructure, containers, service virtualization, and observability tooling.

  • Familiarity with performance, accessibility, security-validation coordination, and resilience testing practices.

  • Relevant automation, software architecture, or quality-engineering certifications.
