Azure DB Lead

Primary Skill:

MySQL, Oracle DBA, SQL DBA

Specialization:

Database & Middleware Support: Senior Architect, Applications & Platforms

Key Responsibilities:

Analyse on premises/ Azure transactional database environments such as Oracle, SQL Server, COSMOS, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra evaluate and plan migrations to Azure

Develop/Enhance database PLSQL scripts/TSQL to migrate from source database to target database

Identity workarounds for specific issues and corner scenarios observed during migration

Develop test plan and testcases to demonstrate database readiness post migration

Document detailed design and migration steps for continued migration from Dev to Prod.

Other Requirements:

Masters/ Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred

15 years of experience in database design/ development/migration on Azure

Hands-on experience on Oracle, SQL Server, COSMOS, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra

Experience migrating Large databases 1TB in size across multiple database engines (e. g. PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, MariaDB, etc. )

Experience with heterogenous database migrations

Experience in performance optimization techniques

High end Troubleshooting and Communication skills
