Tech Specialist, Network

Experience Range: with at least 5 years of experience in network architecture or network engineering, including hands-on experience designing, configuring, and maintaining large-scale enterprise networks Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement complex network solutions based on business requirements and industry best practices, ensuring measurable improvements in network performance and reliability

Develop scalable and secure network architecture for both on-premises and cloud environments

Conduct comprehensive network assessments and performance analysis to proactively identify and resolve potential issues

Collaborate with IT and business teams to create and execute detailed project plans for network infrastructure deployment and upgrades

Oversee and optimize the management of routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other network hardware and software

Configure and manage network protocols, IP addressing schemes, routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP, and network services including DNS and DHCP

Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues efficiently to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity

Document network designs, configurations, and operational procedures to maintain accurate technical records

Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices for network operations and security

Required Skills:

Advanced knowledge of network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SNMP

Expertise in VPN, LAN/WAN, and wireless network solutions

Experience with firewall configuration and security policies

Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools such as Logic Monitor, SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG

Strong proficiency in routing and switching technologies

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

Preferred Skills:

Experience with SD-WAN implementation and management

Familiarity with MPLS and QoS technologies

Ability to design redundant, resilient, and fault-tolerant network systems

Knowledge of emerging networking technologies and trends

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or equivalent certification relevant to network engineering

CompTIA Network+ or similar industry-recognized network certification
