Bryant & Stratton College is currently seeking Men's and Women's Basketball Assistant Coaches.
An Assistant Coach of Basketball is responsible for assisting the head coach in all aspects of coaching, recruiting and administering the softball program along with being a relentless supporter of Bryant & Stratton College and its athletics department. The program will be conducted in compliance with policies, procedures and regulations of the College, the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). This is a part-time position, reporting to the Head Basketball Coach and Director of Athletics.
RESPONSIBILITES
- Assist with recruiting, developing and coaching student-athletes
- Commitment to academic integrity and student-athlete welfare
- Coordinating & performing coaching duties and game preparation
- Assist with development of team strategy and performance analysis
- Assist with scouting, recruiting, and retention of student athletes
- Adhere to college, OCCAC, NJCAA and USCAA policies, procedures, and regulations
- Perform related duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- Associate degree required; Bachelors degree preferred
- Two years coaching & recruiting experience
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
- Demonstrated recruiting and retention success at a higher educational institution
- Solid administrative & communicative skills with the ability to communicate and motivate student-athletes
- Assist in making the program’s culture a positive experience for the student-athletes, coaches, & support staff
- Valid Driver’s License
