F.T. Farfan (Jamaica) Limited - Service Field Technician

We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified candidate to join the team at F.T. Farfan (Jamaica) Limited for the position outlined below.

JOB PURPOSE

This position is responsible for effective and timely service and repairs to customer’s equipment and ensuring the timely completion of all required paper work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs diagnostics and repairs as assigned by the Manager according to the manufacturer’s specifications
• Procures all tools and parts necessary to perform required duties
• Produces timely and detailed reports via job cards
• Contacts customers and communicates estimates and costs
• Assists with the collection of purchase orders and payments
• Assists with departmental collections and deliveries
• Assists in the workshop as and when required
• Demonstrates active adherence to all relevant Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures, while also promoting HSE awareness.
• Performs other related responsibilities that may be required to enhance the operations of the Company.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

• A minimum of five (5) CXC O’ level  or GCE passes inclusive of Mathematics and English Language
• N.E.C. certification in Auto or Diesel mechanics or a certificate from an accredited Technical Institution
• Five (5) years’ experience in the relevant field
• Bronze, Silver and Gold certification in STIHL Service Advantage Training.  
• Five (5) years’ experience in the relevant field
  
• Proficient in the Microsoft suite of products
• A valid driver’s license accompanied by a Defensive Driving Certificate

Please note: This is a full-time, on-site position based in Jamaica. Successful candidates must be legally authorized to work in Jamaica. Any relocation costs associated with accepting this position will be the sole responsibility of the successful candidate.
