They are seeking a detail-oriented Player Operations Specialist with a strong focus on fraud prevention, KYC compliance, and payment management to join their growing team. Responsibilities
~1 min readFraud Detection:
Early detection and prevention of fraudulent accounts and suspicious transactions through in-depth analysis of real-money transactional data.
KYC & Compliance:
Conducting thorough KYC (Know Your Customer) checks to verify player identities and assess risk levels, including profile reviews and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for high-value accounts.
Risk Mitigation:
Ensuring document integrity and strict adherence to global regulatory requirements, while coordinating with legal and risk teams to mitigate potential threats.
Payment Management:
Managing the full payment lifecycle, including processing withdrawals, verifying deposits, reconciling invoices, and making informed decisions on account redemptions and bonus eligibility.
AML Monitoring:
Reviewing transaction reports for suspicious activity and conducting detailed investigations into potential money laundering, bonus abuse, or financial irregularities.
Cross-Department Support:
Supporting Customer Support and Finance teams with payment-related queries and investigating system discrepancies when required.
Policy Evolution:
Collaborating with internal stakeholders to assess and strengthen operational policies in response to emerging industry risks.
Reporting:
Maintaining accurate, up-to-date case records and monitoring the progress of high-priority investigations.
Independent Decision-Making:
Identifying and escalating operational or system issues promptly while confidently managing day-to-day decisions with minimal supervision.
Experience:
Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a KYC, Payments, or Risk Specialist role within the iGaming sector.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or a minimum of two years of completed higher education.
Market Knowledge:
Experience working with US or European regulated gaming markets is highly advantageous.
Communication:
Fluent in written and spoken English, with the ability to clearly communicate complex risk-related matters in a professional setting.
Efficiency:
Strong multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced office environment.
Analytical Mindset:
Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and pattern recognition.
Resilience:
Calm, focused, and professional under pressure, particularly during high-volume periods or complex investigations.
Proactive Growth:
A proactive approach, contributing ideas to improve internal systems and fraud detection methodologies.
Commercial Awareness:
A solid understanding of the commercial impact of payment processing and risk management decisions.
