Fitter & Turner

As one of Australia’s largest cane growers, Bundaberg Sugar proudly operates a Sugar Mill, Refinery, and Packaging Plant in East Bundy. We are more than just a company, we are a vital part of the industry and community in Bundaberg, Queensland.

We are currently recruiting for multiple Fitter and Turner positions to join our proactive maintenance team. This role is primarily day work, 7.00 am-3.30 pm, however, given the nature of the role, shift work may be required. If you have a strong background in manufacturing or the sugar industry and are capable of working in a fast-paced operational environment, we want to hear from you.

As a Fitter & Turner, you will possess the skills necessary to carry out maintenance to meet targets, goals and objectives. The successful applicants will be required to:

• Carry out mill plant maintenance and capital works, plant items include mills, boilers, turbines, fugals, conveyors, carriers, pumps, fans, gearboxes, motors, vessels, pressure vessels and valves.
• Undertake advanced fitting tasks, including welding and hydraulics.
• Operate within a Computerised Maintenance Management System for all work undertaken.
• Actively supporting Workplace Health and Safety initiatives.

Experience in general fitting, basic welding, TIG welding, steam turbine and repair maintenance is essential.
