About the Role

This is an opportunity to get closer to the commercial heartbeat of eCommerce, combining data, category trading and customer experience to drive stronger online performance.

 

As our eCommerce Specialist, you’ll take ownership of the online performance of a portfolio of categories across Bunnings’ websites and apps. You’ll use data and customer insights to uncover opportunities, influence decisions and work with teams across the business to improve discoverability, conversion and the overall online shopping experience.

 

It’s a role where you can Build on where you've come from, broaden your commercial eCommerce experience and make a tangible contribution to how we trade online.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Own the eCommerce performance of your categories, analysing sales, traffic, conversion and customer behaviour to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Bring a strong digital and customer lens to range reviews and launches, helping ensure categories are ready to perform online.
  • Improve category navigation, product visibility and discoverability to create easier shopping journeys for customers.
  • Play an important role in promotional campaigns and key trading events, making sure the online experience is ready when it counts.
  • Translate data into clear insights and practical recommendations that help teams make informed commercial decisions.
  • Partner with Merchandise, Marketing, Data, Product and digital teams, building strong relationships and influencing outcomes.
  • Balance trading priorities with the hands-on execution and detail needed to keep your categories performing.

You’re an experienced eCommerce professional who enjoys combining commercial thinking with data and digital customer experience. You understand retail trading rhythms and know that performance can change quickly, so you’re comfortable getting into the detail, identifying what’s driving the numbers and turning insights into action.

 

You’re proactive and comfortable taking ownership as an individual contributor. You can work through ambiguity, manage competing priorities and move between analysis, stakeholder conversations and hands-on execution.

 

Just as importantly, you know how to bring people with you. You’ll be working across a broad stakeholder group, so you can communicate insights clearly, build productive relationships and influence outcomes without needing direct authority.

  • Hands-on experience within retail eCommerce and/or digital marketing, with a strong understanding of eCommerce trading and online customer journeys.
  • Strong commercial acumen and an understanding of category performance and retail trading rhythms.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including confidence working with and analysing data.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience partnering across different functions.
  • A proactive approach, attention to detail and the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience within hard-goods retail, hardware, tools, trade, home improvement, furniture or a related supplier environment will be highly regarded.
  • Experience using Google Analytics, Jira and Confluence would be an advantage.
