Receiving Supervisor (Fork Lift Experience Required)

Job Summary:

The Receiving Supervisor ensures that all containers are unloaded in a timely manner and also ensures the accuracy of  the product. 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Supervising container crew, ensuring all are performing their duties. In addition, assists in the unloading of containers when/if necessary.
• Requesting required paper work prior to container arrival, and ensuring containers are unloaded in a timely manner. Ensuring that no product arrives in the warehouse without an accompanying PO.
• Having no accidents within the past 12 month period, and reporting any equipment in need of repair to Warehouse Manager.
• Accurate checking of product upon arrival, initiating investigation of discrepancies /shortages/damages. Completing the required paperwork and pass to Receiving Manager upon completion. Ensuring that dates, numbers, pack size are all recorded correctly on receiving report, and communicating damaged product to assigned area with appropriate damaged tag.
• Receiving area to be kept in an orderly fashion at all times.

Requirements:

• Self starter - ability to work fast and be accurate.
• Certified to operate a fork-lift.
• Strong organizational  and interpersonal skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong product/warehouse knowledge preferred.
