Inside Sales / Warehouse Operations Associate

Are you passionate about plants, turf, or pest control—and love helping others succeed? BWI is looking for an Inside Sales / Warehouse Operations Associate who can bring industry knowledge and top-tier customer service to a fast-paced sales environment.

In this role, you won’t just be answering phones—you’ll be the go-to resource for BWI’s customers and sales team. Whether it’s guiding product usage, promoting new items, or solving challenges, your voice will make a difference.

• →Be a trusted advisor for BWI sales reps and customers—answering product, availability, and usage questions.
• →Field incoming calls from prospective customers and guide them through our offerings.
• →Share details about our product lines, pricing, delivery schedules, and credit options.
• →Help keep our showroom sharp, stocked, and welcoming.
• →Enter phone orders accurately and efficiently.
• →Call existing and potential customers to promote exciting new products and seasonal promotions.
• →Partner with outside sales reps to provide a seamless customer experience.
• →Support local walk-in customers with product knowledge and order support.
• →Resolve customer concerns with a problem-solving mindset and a service-first attitude.
• →Assist with the receipt of incoming inventory (forklift certification preferred).
• →Assist with organizing outgoing customer orders.
• →During peak selling periods, assist with local deliveries.

• You're enthusiastic and genuinely enjoy helping others.
• You bring strong communication skills—polite, clear, and confident.
• You have previous experience working in a branch, counter-service, or customer-facing environment, such as an automotive parts counter, retail counter, distribution branch, or similar setting.
• You are proficient with computers and comfortable learning and working with business software. Experience using AS400 or similar order-entry systems is preferred.
• You can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritize competing demands, and manage multiple tasks at the same time.
• You pay attention to the details that make a big difference.
• You're self-motivated, organized, and dependable.
• You lift up to 50 lbs. without issue and enjoy being active during your day.
• You think on your feet and solve problems creatively.
• You’re resilient, optimistic, and determined.

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience in agronomy, horticulture, pest control, retail, automotive parts, distribution, or a related field.
• Previous experience in a branch, counter-service, retail, parts, or other customer-facing environment preferred.
• Proficiency with computers and the ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
• Experience with AS400 or similar business systems is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while effectively handling multiple priorities and customer needs.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• $20–$22 per hour, depending on experience.
• Monday through Friday schedule with weekends off.
