Cyber Security Architect

As the Cyber Security Architect in C4i Solutions you will provide security architecture and technical leadership across complex Defence and mission-critical environments. You will design and review secure solutions, translate operational and security requirements into practical architectures, and provide expert advice across risk, assurance, accreditation and system delivery. Working closely with Defence customers, engineers and delivery teams, you will apply ISM, PSPF and secure-by-design principles to help deliver resilient, scalable and secure technology solutions that support critical operational outcomes.

• Leading the design, development and review of secure, resilient and scalable cyber security architectures across Defence and mission-critical environments.
• Translating operational, business, technical and security requirements into practical architectures, controls and design solutions, applying secure-by-design, defence-in-depth and risk-based principles.
• Assessing security risks, threats, vulnerabilities, attack surfaces, system dependencies and emerging technologies, and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Applying Australian Government security requirements, including ISM and PSPF, across architecture, design and security assurance activities.
• Developing and maintain security architecture, requirements, risk assessments, control mappings and assurance documentation, supporting accreditation, authorisation, IRAP and remediation activities.
• Providing technical security leadership and advice to engineering, project and delivery teams, establishing security architecture standards, patterns and reusable design principles.
• Reviewing technologies, system changes, integrations and third-party solutions to identify security impacts and ensure compliance with applicable security requirements.
• Engaging with Defence customers, system owners, security authorities and technical stakeholders to understand requirements, communicate risks and deliver effective security solutions.
• Leading and participate in architecture reviews, design workshops, risk assessments and technical engagements, while contributing to continuous security assurance and the ongoing development of C4i Solutions' cyber security architecture capability.

• Australian citizen (required for Defence projects) with a min AGSVA NV1 clearance (Ability to upgrade to NV2).
• Tertiary qualification in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related discipline; or equivalent demonstrated industry experience. 
• Relevant professional experience in cyber security architecture, information security, systems security or a closely related field and;
• A relevant certification such as CISSP, CISM or ISO27001-Lead Auditor, SANS 401 highly regarded.
• A min of 5 years' experience within a Defence classified ICT environment.
• Be willing to work as part of an on-call roster on a periodic basis.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to work in high-pressure, secure ICT environments.
