We are seeking a motivated Junior/ Intermediate  Architectural Technologist to join our Design & Engineering team in Grimsby. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career professional to contribute to innovative modular construction projects while building strong technical and design skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will support the development of conceptual and schematic designs, produce BIM models, and create detailed construction drawings. 

You’ll work closely with engineering, estimating, and manufacturing teams to deliver code-compliant, cost-effective designs that meet both client and operational requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop accurate, building code-compliant drawings and BIM models using Revit 

  • Prepare conceptual, arrangement, and detailed design drawings 

  • Produce material take-offs to support procurement and cost accuracy 

  • Review designs against project estimates and flag discrepancies

  • Coordinate with engineering disciplines, estimating, and manufacturing teams 

  • Support design improvements and efficient construction processes 

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of BIM libraries

  • Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and internal quality requirements 

  • Participate in design reviews and manufacturing walkthroughs to verify accuracy 

  • Maintain organized documentation in a fast-paced environment

  • Other duties as assigned

 

Job Qualifications: 

  • Diploma in Architectural Technology or a related field

  • 1–4 years of relevant experience (co-op or internship experience considered)

  • Proficiency in Revit (required)

  • Understanding of building codes (Ontario experience is an asset)

  • Exposure to wood and/or steel construction practices is an asset

  • Knowledge of Arckance framing software is an asset

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently
