Our client is a highly specialised engineering partner operating in the field of complex civil infrastructure, with a strong focus on immersed structures, marine operations, and precision monitoring. With more than 25 years of experience, the organisation supports leading international contractors and project owners across Europe, Asia, and the Americas in delivering technically demanding projects.
Positioned at the intersection of design, engineering, and execution, our client plays a key role in projects involving immersed tunnels, caissons, and large-scale marine structures. Their work ensures that complex installations are engineered, transported, and positioned with a high degree of accuracy in challenging environments where execution risk and coordination are critical.
A defining characteristic of the organisation is its hands-on approach. Engineers are actively involved throughout the full project lifecycle, from tendering and method engineering to on-site execution support. This creates a strong link between theoretical design and real-world delivery, requiring both analytical depth and practical problem-solving capability.
With a well-established reputation in its niche and a growing international footprint, our client offers an environment where technical specialists contribute to unique, non-standard projects that demand precision, ownership, and collaboration across multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
In this multidisciplinary role, you work closely with engineering, project, and site teams to develop and implement structural designs for challenging infrastructure environments.
-
Advanced Structural Design: Lead the development and review of structural designs for maritime and heavy civil projects, focusing on both permanent works and complex temporary installation phases.
-
Specialized Engineering: Ownership of structural calculations related to the transport, buoyant stability, and subsea positioning of large-scale elements (e.g., tunnel segments and caissons).
-
Tender Leadership: Provide critical technical input for international tenders, developing innovative design solutions that mitigate execution risk.
-
Lifecycle Involvement: Actively support the transition from design to site, ensuring that structural integrity is maintained during challenging transport and immersion operations.
-
Interface Management: Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure structural designs are compatible with mechanical systems and precision monitoring equipment.
-
Risk Mitigation: Identify potential structural failure modes in marine environments and propose robust, efficient engineering solutions.
-
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a specialized focus on Structural Engineering.
-
Experience: Minimum 5–8 years in a structural design role, ideally within heavy civil, marine, or offshore industries.
-
Technical Expertise: * Proven experience in Steel and Concrete design for large-scale infrastructure.
-
Mindset: A "hands-on" engineer who enjoys solving problems where the structure meets the water. You are comfortable moving between a CAD model and a construction site.
-
Communication: Professional fluency in English; ability to collaborate effectively in multicultural project teams.
-
Mobility: Willingness to travel to international project sites to provide technical oversight during critical execution phases.
Unique Project Portfolio: Engage with non-standard, high-complexity engineering challenges that go beyond typical building or bridge design.
End-to-End Impact: See your designs come to life as you follow projects from the first calculation to the final subsea positioning.
Global Career Path: Work in an international environment that values technical mastery, precision, and collaborative problem-solving.
Competitive Package: A comprehensive salary and benefits structure aligned with the specialized nature of senior-level marine engineering.
