Responsibilities

In this highly challenging role, you will:

→Design and implement software features and unit tests related to Wi-Fi based on PRPL.
→Develop and integrate mesh networking features on prplMesh/Easymesh (prplOS) and RDK-B/OpenWRT-based platforms.
→Develop proof of concepts for new technologies.
→Research new Wi-Fi technologies.
→Debug and resolve field issues (client connectivity, roaming, stability, and interoperability) in collaboration with silicon vendors.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or equivalent.
Over 5 years of experience in embedded system software development.
Strong programming skills in C/C++.
Strong understanding of Wi-Fi technologies including 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be etc.
Extensive experience with WPA supplicant, Hostapd, and Radius protocol.
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with a focus on innovation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently.
Self-starter who strives for results and continual improvement.
Must work well independently and as part of a team.

Nice to Have

In-depth understanding of the 802.11 protocol suite and WLAN technology.
Experience on Qualcomm, Broadcom, Maxlinear platform etc.
Experience on Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7 (including MLO / 802.11be features)
Hands-on experience with prplMesh/Easymesh, IEEE 1905.1, and 802.11s mesh networking, including Easymesh R5/R6 certification
Experience with RDK-B, prplOS, and/or OpenWRT gateway software stacks
Familiarity with Yocto build systems and embedded Linux kernel/driver development.
