College Bound Instructor, College Learning Community for Transfer School Students

- Track student attendance and reach out to absent students (ie. phone calls, letters, home visits, etc.) daily.
- Counsel students regularly either through meetings in CAMBA offices, by telephone and/or home visits.
- Work with students to break through barriers to student goals and to assist students in advocating for themselves.
- Create and update on a regular basis post-secondary work plans for enrolled students.
- Recommend and implement strategies to enhance student engagement and participation in the program.
- Enter all required data into CAMBA’s online internal database system, Client Track.
- Create narrative case notes regarding student progress at each point of contact using Client Track.
- Assist students in completing all CAMBA intake applications and forms, as needed.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients while ensuring client confidentiality.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including school administration and staff, students, funders, parents, and other community organizations and coalitions.
- Synthesize and distribute pertinent college access information.
- Provide guidance surrounding the college process including admissions, FAFSA applications, enrollment, registration, matriculation, and financial aid filing.
- Plan and organize program activities to achieve program contract goals and performance targets.
- Assist students in attaining their goals by identifying and connecting them with community resources and by making referrals to appropriate services, both within and outside CAMBA.
- Communicate effectively with students, peers, supervisors, and funders.
- Monitor students’ progress weekly.
- Review all documentation related to students’ progress for accuracy, completeness, and clarity.
- Participate in administrative and staff meetings as requested.
- Provide all required information for weekly, monthly, quarterly, semester, and annual reports to CAMBA management and/or to funders.
- Prepare marketing materials for the program as needed.
- Facilitate the SUNY Buffalo State Mastering the Academic Environment class and the Learning Community Program class.
- Assist the Assistant Program Manager with creating curriculum for two SUNY Buffalo State classes.
- Support parents through the college enrollment and financial aid application process and provide resources for them to support students’ coursework (i.e. through newsletters, office hours, and parent learning sessions).
- Sit in on English classes that are certified as Buffalo State college credit bearing, as well as virtual classes through SUNY Delhi.
- Accompany students on field trips to various colleges, including SUNY Buffalo State and SUNY Delhi.
- Support students in understanding course material, completing assignments, and managing their time effectively.
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Education, Counseling, Social Work or a related field.

Compensation: $60,000 annually
When salary ranges are listed, the range would represent the low and high end for the applicable position & program. The salary offered would be based on various factors unique to each program and candidate. This includes but is not limited to experience, education, budget and/or program size, internal equity, skills and other factors that may be required for the position and organization.
Status: Full-time (35 hours per week)
