Job Summary

The District Coordinator is essential in assisting the District Manager and driving the region’s success. Core responsibilities include delivering exceptional customer service, resolving resident issues, keeping track of the regional calendar, and providing operational support to teams. A strong candidate should be exceptionally organized and communicate effectively. The District Coordinator also manages the Welcome Experience Program, ensuring new team members have a positive first day by introducing them to Camden’s mission, values, policies, and staff. This helps foster unity and engagement within the organization.

 

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for answering phones, providing information, and receiving information concerning matters involving the region
  • Direct resident issues to proper manager when necessary and assist in resolving resident problems via telephone and email; must be able to handle complaints from residents with minimal involvement of the District Manager
  • Respond to residents in a timely manner via phone or email
  • Maintain a regional calendar and assure that complete information is available on all matters
  • Coordinate appointments, meetings, seminars, training classes, planning sessions, special events, and communications for region
  • Make travel arrangements for regional employees
  • Prepare expense reports and PCARD statements for regional employees as directed
  • Responsible for Onboarding and first day activities for all new hires within the region; includes onboarding paperwork and I-9 verification, completing on-line courses, assigning mentors, and other tasks
  • Initiate and maintain reports and surveys as requested
  • Completes OFR’s for DM signature Coordinate financial reviews and market updates
  • Record and complete minutes of meetings as assigned
  • Conduct research and gather information in support of the supervisor’s decision-making responsibilities
  • Collect and review monthly incentives; obtain approvals from District Manager (s) and forward to correct department 
  • Verify all CM leases are correct in leasing incentives
  • Organize and facilitate Camden’s pilots and initiatives
  • Work closely with communities to provide direct technical assistance and resources
  • Directs specific departmental projects as assigned
  • Responsible for coordinator of leasing contests
  • Completes Tours Books (Fact Sheets)
  • Complete routine clerical functions within established time frames
  • Maintain current working knowledge of Inside Camden, Camden Policies and Procedures, and programs including: OneSite, ETA, ESS, JDE, TAP, YieldStar, Leasing Incentives
  • Guides new team members through their initial experience by providing administrative support and, above all, creating a welcoming, engaging, and inclusive atmosphere on their first day with the team
  • Enhance engagement through effective communication with new hires, Welcome Experience Manager, Recruiters, and Hiring Managers throughout the pre-employment and Welcome Experience process
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to facilitate the pairing of new team members with appropriate mentors
  • Monitor the Welcome Experience Dashboard for Onboarding, Mentor, and Learn Your Role Plans to verify that Operational Teams' plans are completed correctly and on schedule through careful review and auditing
     

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience at administrative level supporting multiple managers performing complex clerical duties
  • Experience with OneSite, YieldStar, and Ultimate Software preferred
  • Advanced training in typing and general office procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Must be highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
