Compensation: $100K - $120K

The
Environmental Compliance Manager will be responsible for overall environmental compliance at Canacre project sites. The Environmental Compliance Manager will establish standards, policies and mitigation commitments to support regulatory compliance and provide guidance for construction teams.The Environmental Compliance Manager will work with internal and external partners which include clients, government entities, compliance inspection contractors, consultants, design, construction, operations and other key stakeholders to ensure that the terms, conditions, stipulations, and applicable laws are followed.  


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct environmental performance analysis and regulatory reporting, establish and monitor metrics, and advise the teams in implementation of environmental standard
  • Ensure projects are maintaining required regulatory guidelines in accordance with Federal, State and Local Regulations
  • Review environmental safety plans and programs and advise management of existing compliance issues
  • Define and implement corrective/preventive actions and continuous improvement activities as directed
  • Ensure all Environmental incidents are properly contained and investigated to root cause determination, corrective actions are implemented, and reporting is completed
  • Review and advise on all relevant Environmental documentation for project development
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science or equivalent
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in related field
  • Minimum 5 years experience in electric transmission or distribution construction industry experience
  • Environmental experience working on BLM lands in the southwestern United States
  • Experience on projects regulated under NEPA or state-equivalent
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
  • Ability to interface successfully with multiple departments, external vendors and/or customers.
  • Ability to run meetings and effectively capture decisions and actions.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously with minimal supervision.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated and highly organized with strong problem solving skills.
  • Ability to build strong, lasting relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
LICENSES/ACCREDIDATIONS:
  • Valid Driver’s License, with ability to maintain insurability under the company’s insurance carrier
  • CPESC/CESSWI
