This position will be located at our Headquarters in College Station, Texas. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business, or a related field required, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of related experience required.
  • Relevant experience should demonstrate the ability to independently facilitate Agile ceremonies, support cross-functional teams, assist with removing impediments, and promote continuous improvement.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) preferred depending on business need.
  • The Scrum Master II leads Agile development teams in the effective delivery of business and technology capabilities by facilitating Scrum ceremonies, fostering collaboration across team members and stakeholders, and proactively identifying and removing impediments to progress.
  • This role promotes the consistent application of Agile principles, drives continuous improvement, and increases team effectiveness and delivery outcomes with greater autonomy and influence.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Plans and facilitates Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews/demos, and retrospectives.
  • Supports Agile teams in developing self‑organization, accountability, and consistent adherence to Scrum and Agile principles.
  • Proactively identifies, addresses, and escalates impediments impacting team progress, delivery, or quality, coordinating with stakeholders as needed to support resolution.
  • Promotes collaboration and transparent communication among Agile team members, Product Owners, and cross‑functional stakeholders to support alignment on priorities, objectives, and delivery expectations.
  • Tracks, analyzes, and communicates Agile metrics, sprint outcomes, and delivery status to support visibility and informed decision‑making.
  • Supports activities across the software development lifecycle to help ensure work is planned, coordinated, and delivered in alignment with established Agile practices.
  • Encourages continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance team performance, processes, and delivery outcomes.
  • Assists in coaching team members and stakeholders on Agile practices, roles, and continuous improvement concepts.
  • Participates in meetings, training, and other activities as required to support departmental and organizational objectives. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • The Scrum Master II requires a working knowledge of Agile principles, the Scrum framework, and software development lifecycle processes.
  • This role requires the ability to independently facilitate Scrum ceremonies and support Agile teams in planning, coordination, and delivery activities.
  • The Scrum Master II must be able to identify, analyze, and help address impediments that affect team progress, quality, or delivery outcomes, escalating issues appropriately when needed.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills are required to work effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders, including Product Owners and cross‑functional partners.
  • The position requires demonstrated problem‑solving, organizational, and time‑management skills, along with the ability to promote teamwork, adaptability, and continuous improvement in a changing work environment.
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential.
  • Proficiency in applicable business and technology tools used to support Agile teams is required, and Scrum Master certification (such as CSM, PSM I, or equivalent) may be preferred or required.
  • Proficiency in using AI‑enabled tools, as available, to support day‑to‑day work activities in alignment with organizational policies.
  • The Scrum Master II must be able to work with limited supervision and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
