Responsibilities

Prepare monthly financial performance analysis related to monthly results and interface with Business partners for additional insight on performance trends
- →
Understand contractual arrangements with partner relationships and administer the financial and accounting implications of the contract
- →
Perform monthly, quarterly, annual accounting processes and close responsibilities (journal entry recording, reconciliations, period over period balance change analyses, etc.)

Ensure accounting practices and documentation procedures are performed in accordance with accounting and governance policies and procedures

Identify and deliver process improvements
- →
Prepare and monitor VAT tax journal entries and assist in the preparation of monthly VAT tax reporting
- →
Review documentation of purchase orders, vendor invoices and expense allocation for multi-currency operations
- →
Prepare monthly account reconciliations of fixed assets, leases, prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, accounts payable, payroll expenses and other, depending on business needs

Assist in the preparation of intercompany journal entries, invoice preparation and account reconciliations
- →
Assist in the preparation and review of the annual financial statements, Electronic Statutory Balances and preparation of tax returns
- →
Review supporting documentation to substantiate information included in deliverables
- →
Research bookkeeping and disclosure requirements to ensure the appropriate application of the Mexican GAAP

Assist in external audit coordination and internal audit reviews
- →
Support internal controls and attestation compliance requirements
- →
Create and own timely updates of Standard Operating Procedures

Participate in special projects and ad-hoc requests as they arise, such as technology and data transformation, process improvement and business initiatives

Collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve issues and stay connected on process or product changes

Communicate effectively with colleagues and external contacts on routine work-related matters in English and Spanish
Requirements
~1 min readBachelor Degree or Military Experience
2+ years of accounting, finance or audit experience, or a combination
Intermediate-Advanced English fluency
Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA)
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or Local equivalent
3+ years of Accounting experience in banking or insurance industry
2+ years of experience in Payroll, Fixed Assets, Leases, VAT and Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations
1+ years of experience in PeopleSoft General Ledger, Hyperion Essbase, Excel or MS Office, or a combination
