About the Role

~1 min read

As Corporate Finance Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations, workload planning and performance of the Corporate Finance Team. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Finance, you will oversee timely and accurate statutory and investment reporting, Australian and New Zealand tax compliance, month-end accounting, general ledger integrity, balance sheet controls, payroll review and transactional banking services across the Group.

This is a key leadership role in the Group’s financial control environment. You will coordinate internal and external audit requirements, support core banking relationships and help deliver monthly, half-year, interim and year-end financial statement close activities, including the annual preparation of four sets of accounts. You will also provide essential oversight for daily banking approvals and back-up support for fortnightly payroll approvals.

Alongside core delivery, you will lead continuous improvement and transformation initiatives across finance. Working with senior leaders, internal teams, auditors, advisers and banking partners, you will strengthen governance, improve data quality, expand automation and deliver sustainable gains in efficiency, accuracy, compliance and service delivery.

We’re looking for an experienced, technically strong finance leader who can balance rigorous financial control and statutory delivery with practical team leadership and continuous improvement.

  • CA or CPA qualification and a Commerce or Business degree.
  • 10-15 years of post-qualification experience in a similar corporate finance, financial reporting or financial control role.
  • Previous team management experience, with the ability to set priorities, allocate workloads and develop technical capability.
  • Advanced knowledge of AASB statutory reporting and income tax legislation.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience interpreting financial information, maintaining general ledger integrity and strengthening balance sheet controls.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, and experience working with an ERP system.
  • Proven ability to manage competing deadlines across month-end, statutory reporting, tax, audit, banking and payroll review activities.
  • Exposure to New Zealand accounting and tax requirements.
  • Experience improving finance systems, automating transactional processes or supporting major finance system change.
  • Experience working with external auditors, tax advisers, regulators and banking partners.
