A full-time Cardiovascular Technologist opportunity is available at hospital in Panama City, Florida. This highly regarded facility is certified in Advanced Primary Stroke Care, accredited as a Comprehensive Breast Care Center, and operates the area's only Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and Resuscitation. It also houses the region's only Level III NICU and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, supporting a wide range of high-acuity services.

The Cardiovascular Technologist works under general supervision within the cardiac and vascular laboratory, assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures. This role involves preparing patients, operating specialized imaging equipment, and supporting a variety of cardiac and peripheral vascular studies. The technologist is responsible for capturing high-quality imaging, assisting with hemodynamic monitoring, and ensuring smooth workflow throughout procedures. In addition, this position includes assisting with patient transport and providing supportive communication to patients and families throughout their care experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for cardiac and vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures.
  • Operate specialized imaging equipment in the cardiac and vascular lab.
  • Assist physicians during invasive cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures.
  • Perform hemodynamic monitoring throughout diagnostic and interventional cases.
  • Ensure accurate imaging to assess cardiac and vascular patency.
  • Support patient transport and coordination within the lab setting.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and families to support comfort and understanding.
  • Maintain workflow efficiency and adhere to safety and clinical protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent in Radiologic Technology required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in Specials, Vascular, or Cardiac Cath Lab required.
  • Current Florida State Registered Radiologic Technician license required.
  • ARRT (R) certification or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credential required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 45 days of hire.
  • Strong technical, clinical, and communication skills in a high-acuity environment.

Schedule:

  • Full-time
