A full-time MRI Technologist opportunity is available at hospital in Panama City, Florida. This highly respected facility is certified in Advanced Primary Stroke Care, recognized as a Comprehensive Breast Care Center, and is home to the area's only Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and Resuscitation, the region's only Level III NICU, and the community's only Pediatric Emergency Department. This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced imaging technology while supporting exceptional patient care in a collaborative healthcare environment.

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing a wide range of medical conditions. This role requires expertise in MRI techniques, cross-sectional anatomy, and imaging protocols while ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout each examination. Responsibilities also include operating imaging equipment, producing diagnostic-quality images, managing studies within the PACS system, and maintaining compliance with established safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders and department protocols.
  • Operate MRI equipment to obtain accurate, high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, including head, neck, body, musculoskeletal, and spine imaging.
  • Process, review, and organize imaging studies within the PACS system.
  • Ensure patient safety, proper positioning, and comfort throughout imaging procedures.
  • Follow MRI safety guidelines and departmental quality standards.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to support timely diagnosis and treatment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent in Radiologic Technology required.
  • Minimum of one year of MRI experience required; three or more years preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of MRI concepts and cross-sectional anatomy involving the head, neck, body, musculoskeletal system, and spine.
  • Current Florida State Registered Radiologic Technologist license required.
  • ARRT (R) and ARRT (MR) certifications required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Strong technical, communication, and patient care skills.

Schedule:

  • Full-time
  • Weekend schedule:

    • Friday: 10:00 AM – 10:30 PM
    • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 9:30 PM
    • Sunday: 9:00 AM – 9:30 PM
  • On-call rotation as needed with a two-hour minimum call-back
