Proactive Intelligence, Applied Research Scientist � Generative AI

Apple is seeking Applied Research Scientists with expertise in Generative AI to join their team. The role involves leveraging state-of-the-art Generative models to enhance Apple's products and services for various devices, including the iPhone, Mac, Apple Watch, and iPad. The team's mission is to enhance Apple platforms by understanding and adapting to user behavior through machine learning, resulting in exceptional features integrated into Apple platforms. The ideal candidate should have industry experience in modeling areas such as Conversational Agents, Reinforcement Learning, and Large Language Models. They should also possess strong programming skills in Python and/or C++, proficiency in ML toolkits like PyTorch and TensorFlow, and the ability to build deep-learning systems. This role requires creative problem-solving, collaboration, and hands-on work in multi-functional teams. Candidates should hold an M.S. or PhD in Computer Science or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in applied ML and/or product development. The base pay range for this role is $161,700 to $284,900, with additional benefits and stock programs offered to Apple employees. Publications in top-tier conferences and experience in robotics, deep learning, and mobile device development are advantageous.
