At Schwab, you’re empowered to grow your career while helping transform the finance industry through innovation and collaboration.
As an Assistant Branch Manager (ABM), you help drive business growth, client outcomes, and team performance within your local market. Partnering with the Branch Manager, you support strategy execution to expand relationships, grow assets, and increase market impact, using sound judgment and data-driven decisions to influence branch results.
You will step into a highly collaborative environment where leadership, coaching, and client engagement are at the core of the role. You will work closely with branch leadership and peers to deepen client relationships, enhance team performance, and deliver a consistent Schwab experience. Your ability to actively listen, communicate effectively, and adapt your approach will enable you to navigate complex client and employee needs while driving outcomes.
- To set you up for success, you’ll complete our comprehensive training through Brancy Manager University, a three-week virtual experience led by live facilitators.
- After completing Branch Manager University, your individualized development includes formal training in supervision, employee evaluation, and leadership, alongside ongoing, hands-on coaching and mentorship within your branch, tailored to your background and career goals.
- The ABM role provides a strong foundation for growth, with a clear path to a Branch Manager position within a 3-year trajectory. As you grow in the role, you will expand your ability to lead teams, drive business outcomes, and influence broader organizational success. Advancement to a Branch Manager role often requires geographic mobility, and candidates are expected to be open to relocation as promotional opportunities become available across the branch network.
