Local Class A Driver

As a Local Driver, you will be responsible for the delivery and retrieval of trailers within about 100 miles of Walterboro. Drop and hook, no toch freight, home daily!

$23.00/hr.

Monday-Friday 7:30am - 9:30pm (occasional Saturday)

  Handle all local deliveries and retrievals; drop and hook

  Deliver and retrieve trailers within 100mi of Walterboro  

• →

  Automatic day cab, 53’ dry van

• 1-year CDL-A driving experience within past year 

• Must be at least 23 years of age or older 

• Must Possess a valid license to operate a commercial motor vehicle 

• Must pass a DOT Physical from a nationally registered DOT approved physician 

• No record of being disqualified to drive 

• Successful completion of a DOT road test 

• PSP report scores of 10 or below in the past 3 years – a higher score will be reviewed  

• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years 

• Candidates with experience in logistics, warehouse, OTR, Over-the-Road, CDL Class A License, Truck and Trailer, preferred 

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently

• Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate

• Must be able to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and sit in a vehicle cab for entire shifts of varying lengths in time

• The noise level in the work environment depends on location 

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include, close vision, distance vision and color vision
