Responsibilities
~2 min readThe Business Intelligence Analyst II helps AAA Life Insurance make informed business and operational decisions through data analysis, reporting, and business insights. This role partners with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs, analyze operational performance, identify trends, and develop solutions that support strategic and operational objectives.
This position works closely with internal teams and customers in the areas of operational and financial analysis. It requires strong analytical skills, technical aptitude, attention to detail, and effective communication skills. The ideal candidate is curious, results-oriented, and passionate about leveraging data to solve business problems and improve processes. Responsibilities include analyzing data, developing reports and dashboards, supporting business initiatives with actionable insights, and contributing to the design and enhancement of data solutions that provide accurate and meaningful information to decision makers.
- →Access, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources to develop reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses that support business and operational decision making.
- →Monitor and evaluate operational performance metrics, identify trends, and recommend opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.
- →Create, maintain, and enhance Power BI reports and dashboards that translate complex data into meaningful and actionable insights for business users.
- →Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define reporting needs, and deliver solutions that address business objectives.
- →Conduct analyses of business processes, operational performance, and key metrics to support department initiatives and strategic goals.
- →Support the development and maintenance of automated reporting and data processes that improve consistency, accuracy, and efficiency.
- →Present findings and recommendations to business partners and department leadership in a clear and concise manner.
- →Assist in identifying opportunities to improve business outcomes through data-driven decision making and process improvements.
- →Participate in data governance and data stewardship activities by helping define, document, and maintain key performance indicators, metrics, and reporting standards.
- →Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing reporting, analytics, and data transformation initiatives.
- →Perform quality assurance and validation activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of reports, dashboards, and analytical outputs.
- →Maintain documentation related to reporting processes, data sources, business rules, and analytical methodologies.
- →Stay current on analytics tools, reporting technologies, and industry best practices to continuously improve capabilities and effectiveness.

Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience analyzing and interpreting data and communicating insights to business stakeholders.
- Experience developing reports, dashboards, and visualizations using business intelligence tools such as Power BI.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis techniques.
- Experience working with large datasets and combining information from multiple data sources.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate analytical findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
