Growth Lead, Spain (Juniper)
Quick Summary
you’ll be one of the first people on the ground in Spain, working alongside our founding General Manager and our Expansion team to launch Juniper from scratch - building the acquisition engine,
You know how to get the best out of the people and functions around you - from your GM, to our central Growth team, to external partners - without needing to own the org chart to make things happen.
We're on a mission to make good health last a lifetime. More than 1 billion people live with obesity worldwide, driving preventable chronic conditions. We're here to build better long-term care.
Eucalyptus is now part of Hims & Hers, the global leader in personalised health and wellness.
Euc is the company behind Juniper, one of the world's largest weight-management programs combining GLP-1 medication with personalised nutrition, movement support, and clinician-led care from prescribers, nurses, health coaches, pharmacists, and dietitians. Our published clinical research shows that our combined clinical and behavioural approach helps patients lose significantly more weight during their treatment with Juniper by four times.
- Supporting patients living with obesity across our 5 markets
- Received selective NICE endorsement to provide services to the NHS
- Tailored our offering to thousands of patients in Australia, the UK, Germany, Japan and Canada.
International expansion has been the growth engine behind many of the defining consumer technology companies of our time - Uber, Airbnb, Doordash, Revolut. Our ambition is to be the next version of this in digital health: the world’s leading international consumer health platform.
Following our acquisition by Hims & Hers, international expansion is the top priority for Eucalyptus. We’re building the international arm of the leading consumer health platform globally and we’re growing the team responsible for making that happen. Spain is our next major market opportunity. We believe it represents a significant and underserved need for accessible, high-quality digital obesity care and we're building the founding team to make it happen.
We're going to build Spain's largest and best digital healthcare company. This will be really hard to do, but very rewarding and possibly the adventure of a lifetime where you will work along side industry leading operators. If that gets you excited, let's talk.
About the Role
~2 min readEucalyptus is looking for an experienced and hands-on Growth Lead to be one of the founding members of the Spain team. This is a true zero-to-one opportunity: you’ll be one of the first people on the ground in Spain, working alongside our founding General Manager and our Expansion team to launch Juniper from scratch - building the acquisition engine, running the first campaigns, and bringing our first cohort of Spanish patients into the program.
You’ll own growth for the Spanish market day-to-day with autonomy over how you build and run it. You’ll work closely with our central Growth team, tapping into their expertise, tooling, and cross-market learnings - but you’re the one in the room making the calls for what works in Spain, bringing the best of Eucalyptus’ playbook into a market we’re building from scratch.
Given the nature of a founding role, we’re looking for someone with the following traits:
- High velocity and accountability: You are essentially one of the co-founders of the Spanish organisation. We will set you up with the autonomy and incentives of an owner. In exchange we expect you will take full accountability for its growth and will always strive to drive velocity and high performance.
- Probabilistic decision making: You’re able to think probabilistically and assess the nature and magnitude of the risks of your decisions. You can make these assessments with appropriate speed (rapidly or considered, depending on magnitude and reversibility) and communicate them to your ELT with appropriate hypotheses, what you need to believe and mitigants. You lead with hypotheses, make decisions based on data and always seek disconfirming evidence.
- Natural collaborator: You know how to get the best out of the people and functions around you - from your GM, to our central Growth team, to external partners - without needing to own the org chart to make things happen.
- Relentlessly ambitious: You're excited by audacious goals, energised by chasing them, and ready to do it all again once you've hit one. You understand that healthcare could be so much better and more accessible for millions of people worldwide, and are excited to relentlessly change the world.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy that includes creative production, performance marketing, e-commerce and brand media coordination.
- Have full responsibility in optimizing our acquisition funnel
- Partner with a central team of growth marketing professionals and creatives to drive growth and achieve key performance metrics.
- Analyse market and patient trends to identify growth opportunities and optimise resources to achieve growth objectives.
- Manage the budget and optimise spending across all marketing channels to achieve a healthy P&L.
- Adapt proven playbooks from the UK, Germany, Japan and Australia for the Spanish market, and feed your results back so other markets learn from Spain.
- Work with the General Manager to set and manage quarterly OKRs to achieve business objectives and track performance metrics.
You’re a growth leader who knows what it takes to win a Spanish consumer’s attention and trust, and you’re excited by the idea of building something from the very first patient, not optimising something that already runs itself. You think like an operator of the whole business, not just its marketing function - what you learn in the funnel should sharpen how we think about pricing, product, positioning and where Spain goes next.
- Professional experience: 4-8 years of experience in growth marketing, performance marketing, or digital marketing, within a fast-growing direct-to-consumer or e-commerce business in Spain.
- Local market fluency: You have a deep understanding of Spanish consumer behaviour; familiarity with Spain’s digital healthcare landscape is a plus. You're fluent in both Spanish and English, with excellent communication skills across both languages.
- Accountable to the numbers: You've owned a marketing budget, not just reported on one. You know your CAC and conversion without looking them up, and when they move the wrong way you're already three levels into why.
- Builder mindset: You're comfortable operating with a lean team and centralised support, rather than needing a large team underneath you to get things done.
- Executional powerhouse: You're not afraid to get your hands dirty - participating in the launch of a new market requires good judgment and speed, and you know how to move fast in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
- Communicate with clarity: You communicate incisively, honestly and often, leveraging the most appropriate mediums for different types of messages. You are able to synthesise complex concepts into clear insights and narratives that resonate with a broad audience.
- Analytical strength with creative instinct: You’re skilled in using data to diagnose performance, develop insights, and shape strategy - and you don't stop at the marketing implication.. You are confident in reviewing creative work across copy, video, and visual assets – and understanding what drives engagement.
