We are looking for an Accounting Manager that is excited about the below Mission and Outcomes.

Oversee a portfolio of SME clients, ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of accounting and tax services. Lead a team of junior and senior accountants to achieve a high client satisfaction.

• Provide accounting and tax services to a portfolio of Australian startup and SME clients
• Liaising with the ATO on behalf of clients
• BAS preparation and submission
• Tax return preparation and submission
• Provide supervision and control for remote bookkeeping clients
• Advising and engaging with clients on various accounting & taxation matters
• Hire, train, nurture and grow a team of like minded accountants

To do this, you will have a minimum of 5 years experience managing a team of accountants servicing Australian clients.

We are looking for someone is experienced within the following:

• Team management - hiring, training, nurturing a team of ambitious accountants
• Managing a portfolio of SME clients with scope ranging from bookkeeping to taxation services
• Excellent command of client communication and delivery organisation

The successful candidate will participate in the below interview stages. We anticipate the process to last no more than 3 weeks from start to finish.

Whether the interviews are held over video call or in person will depend on your location and the role.

A ~30-minute screening call with a member of our Talent Acquisition team to discuss your background, evaluate mutual fit for the role, address expectations, and answer your questions.

A ~60 minute session with the Hiring Manager, including a live case study to test your accounting skills and knowledge. They’ll also discuss your last 1-2 roles to understand your experience in more detail

A ~45 minute chat with a member of the leadership team, where they will dive into some of your recent work situations to understand how you think and work.

Prior to final offer confirmation, we will conduct one professional reference check with your recent direct manager or supervisor. To keep the process moving smoothly, this step may be initiated during the final interview stages..
