About the Role
~2 min readAVIAN is seeking a Logistics Product Support Analyst to provide comprehensive logistics management and Integrated Product Support (IPS) expertise in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) Integrated Product Team (IPT). This position will play a key role in ensuring critical systems remain supportable, sustainable, and ready for the Fleet throughout the acquisition and system lifecycle.
The Logistics Product Support Analyst will plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of sustainment and product support activities, including Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs), Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) management, Configuration Maintenance Plans (CMPs), and Maintenance Plans (MPs). The analyst will also provide technical and analytical support for provisioning, Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs), Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRCs), and other logistics products and documentation.
Working collaboratively with government, engineering, logistics, and program stakeholders, the analyst will help integrate supportability requirements across the program lifecycle to improve system availability, maintainability, readiness, and long-term Fleet sustainment. This position supports all 12 Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements, including product/program management, sustaining engineering, supply support, maintenance planning and management, Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation (PHS&T), technical data, support equipment, training and training support, manpower and personnel, facilities and infrastructure, computer resources, and design interface.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Lead the coordination and development of lifecycle logistics program documentation, milestone deliverables, Logistics Support Plans, and logistics considerations incorporated into program planning and acquisition documentation.
- →Evaluate, update, and maintain comprehensive logistics documentation to ensure effective integration, readiness, and sustainment of product support elements throughout the complete systems lifecycle.
- →Review and assess Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) to determine impacts on Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), supportability, readiness, and lifecycle costs; conduct trade-off analyses and provide recommendations for approval or disapproval based on performance improvements, logistics impacts, and cost considerations.
- →Provide acquisition and production support for program activities involving the development, production, modification, fielding, and sustainment of systems and equipment, ensuring logistics requirements are effectively incorporated throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
- →Analyze and execute modernization and logistics strategies affecting production, distribution, inventory management, and sustainment of finished products to optimize product flow, improve material availability, and enhance Fleet readiness and utilization.
- →Coordinate and support Integrated Logistics Assessments (ILAs) by managing assessment checklists, documentation trackers, logistics schedules, and required inputs to ensure readiness for key program lifecycle events and milestone reviews.
- →Develop, edit, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including technical manuals, procedures, work instructions, reports, plans, specifications, and other program deliverables in accordance with established government, DoD, and program-specific standards.
- →Collaborate with engineers, logisticians, program managers, subject matter experts (SMEs), and other technical personnel to research, gather, validate, and translate complex technical information into clear, accurate, and user-focused documentation.
- →Analyze technical and engineering source material to develop documentation that accurately communicates system capabilities, operational procedures, maintenance requirements, logistics processes, and product support requirements.
- →Coordinate and facilitate logistics meetings and working groups by gathering cross-functional inputs, developing executive-level briefs and presentation materials, documenting decisions and action items, and tracking follow-up activities to ensure timely resolution of logistics-related issues.
Requirements
~1 min read- Must possess or be able to obtain a U.S. Passport.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
- Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of related logistics or ILS experience; or 4 years of equivalent DoD logistics experience.
- Demonstrated experience with DoD and Navy logistics principles, processes, and life-cycle management.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 Suite (Excel, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word).
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience in technical writing of documentation.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and engaging directly with government, and contractor.
