Clinical Application Analyst II

The Clinical Application Analyst is responsible for supporting clinical applications, database development, reporting solutions, and EMR-related data initiatives. The ideal candidate will have stronghands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL development, SSIS package development, report writing, and SQL performance tuning. This role works closely with clinical, operational, andtechnical teams to develop data solutions, optimize application performance, and support reporting and analytics initiatives. Experience in healthcare IT is highly desirable, and experience withAltera/Allscripts Sunrise Clinical Manager (SCM) is preferred but not required.

        • Design, develop, and maintain database and reporting solutions using Microsoft SQL Server, including TSQL development, SSRS reports, and SSIS-based automation, in support of clinical and                         operational needs across the health system.        • Maintain and enhance custom EMR solutions that support patient measures, care coordination, and organizational priorities.        • Provide production support for the EMR and related clinical applications, including troubleshooting, testing, upgrades, and enhancements.        • Support day-to-day clinical operations, including clinical printing workflows, new clinic setups, and device onboarding.        • Collaborate with the Management Information Systems (MIS) team, clinicians, and clinical and administrative hospital leadership to translate operational needs into effective data and reporting                       solutions.        • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of data across clinical and operational systems.        • Contribute to and participate in the Performance/Quality Improvement activities of the assigned department, including data collection, analysis, implementation of and compliance with risk                             management and claims activities, support of and participation in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) teams, and consistent adherence to the BronxCare Health System’s (a) Safety and Security               Policies, (b) Risk Management: Incident and Occurrence Reporting, (c) Infection Control Policies and Procedures, and (d) Patient and Customer Service standards. 

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics or a related field
• Master degree in Inforamtion Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or related field (Perferred)
• Minimum 5yrs. hands on experience with Micosoft SQL
• 3-5yrs experience developing and supporting SSIS packages and perfoming SQL performance Tuning
• 3-5 years of experience of proven ability to troubleshoot production issuses in a fast-paced clinical enviroment
• 3-5 years of experience in healthcare IT, hospital, or clinical systems experience, including EMR/EHR application support
• 3-5 years of experience with Altera/Allscripts Sunrise Clinical Manager (SCM-Perferred)
• Minimum of 3-years of experience with .NET development  (Perferred)
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, specifically MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Must be able to work in a high-volume team environment.
• Detailed oriented.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and a commitment to safeguarding patient health information.
• Knowledge of healthcare data standards such as HL7 (Preferred)
