PSR Supervisor - HVI

Responsible for the daily supervision of HVI Centralized Services PSR staff and functions. Assists the manager with changing scheduling and registration processes to improve patient throughput and satisfaction. Prepares staff schedule based on budget parameters and ensure adequate coverage for shifts. Establishes scheduling and registration error standards and audits scheduling and registration data compared to industry related benchmarks. Provides continuous feedback to staff to reduce error and enhance workflow processes. Participates and coordinates staff training needs including new employee job training. Performs as a working supervisor to meet department staffing and volume fluctuations. Works with clinical leadership to ensure provider schedules are efficient and free of scheduling errors. Enhance point of service collections to ensure financial stewardship. Monitors and maintains referrals, in-baskets, waitlists, and recall reports. Ensures department and leadership workques are worked and maintained daily. Responsible for building a cohesive team to improve employee satisfaction.

Performs Essential Job Functions as Direct Reports Coordinates daily work and desk assignments to ensure adequate staffing coverage and excellent customer service Ensures staff members are adequately trained and are competent to perform all required job tasks. Coordinates and oversees preceptor (s) for new staff members. Assists in training new Patient Service Representatives and serves as a role model by conducting self in a responsible, professional manner. Performs various personnel actions including but not limited to hiring, performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and promotions; make work assignments and review and edit work of direct reports. Approve scheduling and vacation requests for all HVI PSR’s. Timekeeper in Kronos for all staff and stay within SVR targets. Assist with the processing of payroll for his /her direct reports by maintaining employee edit requests, PL requests, etc Resolves work related issues or assists employees in wolving work related issues, confers with manager to resolve more complex situations Supports the manager in collecting information for accreditation surveys and departmental audits. Actively assists the manager with implementation of the recommended changes Develops, implements and participates in Quality Improvement initiatives and performs quality audits as directed / needed., Meet and maintain all productivity targets and department goals that align with the strategic plan. Responsible for design and implementation of policies related to the department. Disciplinary action under the guidance of Human Resources and the Patient Care Manager Resolves customer concerns, questions, and complaints by identifying problems and coordinating appropriate corrective action. Reports situation and resolution to supervisor. Establishes standards for reducing registration errors. Reviews with staff on a regular basis and initiate necessary training to reduce errors. Assists staff in dealing with customer service issues and provides timely responses to concerns received from the Patient Relations Department. Assists department leadership in resolving staff work related issues or assists employees in solving work related issues. Supervises and assists staff with job duties and responsibilities to ensure patient satisfaction and revenue cycle activities are achieved Work Patient, Account, Claim Edit, and Router Workque’s Daily Assists management in maintaining and developing a budget for supplies and equipment Monitor procedure and testing work queues and those respective schedules to adhere to financial stewardship Actively participates and/or leads team huddles EMR Superuser

The compensation range for this position is $26.55per hour - $44.34per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
